Tsumami work Asagiri

Profile
I have loved handicrafts since I was a child and enjoyed crafts and cake making.
After getting married and having a child, my passion for handmade products returned, and I started working as a handmade artist in Fukuoka when my daughter was in kindergarten.
Our eco-craft works have been featured in books, local TV, and free newspapers.
After that, due to a family transfer, I moved my base of activities to Tokyo!
I gained many qualifications in skills such as handmade bread and cakes, knitting, and preserved flowers, and started teaching classes.
Starting in September 2014, I will be holding classes in a log house that my family built over the course of about a year.
Currently, I discovered tsumami-zaiku after making hair ornaments for my daughter's coming-of-age ceremony.
Since then, we have mainly produced hair ornaments for coming-of-age ceremonies, Shichi-Go-San ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, etc.
At home classes where even beginners can make hair ornaments for special occasions, making hair ornaments to match kimonos is popular.
I studied under one of the few tsumami craftsmen in Japan and am working hard every day.
